A PICNIC DATE

New England winters are hard. There is no doubt in that. The hardest thing about them can be restraining yourself from going crazy because there is no way to be outside for long periods of time, without wearing 10+ layers of clothing. Bryson, my boyfriend, and I had a hard time coming up with things to do indoors this winter - hence why we took up watching all of the Game of Thrones, and constantly baked yummy treats.

Disclaimer: Watching your millionth episode of GOT, and baking delicious treats can be REALLY fun, but doing it every Friday in the winter can be unhealthy ;)

Bryson caught me a bit off guard when he suggested that we take advantage of our first sixty-degree day of 2019 at the riverfront of our city. A lovely day for a picnic it was!

We packed our favorite fruits - strawberries, raspberries, and apples, and hit the waterfront.

The weather turned a bit chilly towards the end, but we enjoyed the sunlight by munching on our snacks, talking about life, looking at the clouds, and listening to our favorite playlists.

Sometimes, especially in New England, all you need is that bit of sunshine to keep you going. For me, it was this day. It snowed just three days before, but this day actually felt like spring.

You should definitely plan a picnic date with your loved ones, girlfriends, or significant other. I can't recommend it more to help you recoup your lost vitamin D from the winter months.

Until Next Time,

MM
